Are you out of active treatment and navigating life after cancer?

Do you seek to connect with others who understand what you have been through, and what you go through on a daily basis sometimes?

If so, this private group is for you.

We as SURVIVORS will THRIVE together through the thick and thin of it all.

We offer this support program virtually (as well as in-person) so that everyone has an opportunity to attend.

INFORMAL PEER SOCIALIZING

For survivors to build friendships, share stories, and find informal peer support in a warm, relaxed setting.

Discussions are led by trained Shay’s Warriors Life After Cancer Ambassadors

Every 3rd Saturday of the month
8:30am PT/ 11:30am ET

Group Rules of Safety

Coffee and Connections is an accountability group whose purpose is to provide support, companionship, and accountability to individuals and their families living in life after cancer. Our mission is that each person feels welcome, heard, and supported. We ask that each participant respect our collective norms:

  1. We acknowledge that this is a safe space where everyone's voice is honored and respected.

  2. We honor each other's privacy and trust by maintaining confidentiality.

  3. We foster accountability by celebrating progress over perfection.

  4. We focus on giving voice to Living Life After Cancer, keeping our space free from politics, religion, and solicitation.

What to expect

Joining a new group can feel overwhelming, so we make our virtual sessions as welcoming, low-pressure, and straightforward as possible.

  1. To sign up, you fill out a quick form to reserve your spot.

  2. You’ll receive an immediate email confirmation containing your private Google Meet link.

  3. If you opt in for SMS notifications during signup, we’ll send you a helpful text reminder before the call starts.

  4. Hop on a few minutes early to settle into the virtual waiting room, or join right on time.

  5. Our program ambassadors start each session with a brief overview of what to expect to make sure everyone feels comfortable and included.
