I Am Hope Survivors Reset Retreat

The I Am Hope Survivors Reset Retreat is a Four-day, three-night experience for cancer survivors hosted in the Greater Palm Springs area. We aim to help survivors get clear on life after cancer and how to move forward. The retreat will be held on June 6th-9th 2024.

  • Relax. Reset. Reconnect.

    Cancer changes everything.

Who you were before cancer no longer exists, and many survivors find themselves asking: How do I move on? Will the cancer come back? Who am I now? Why can I not connect with my friends and family anymore?

The I AM HOPE Survivors Reset Retreat, organized by Shay’s Warriors, focuses on life after cancer. It is an annual weekend-long event providing a low- or no-cost opportunity for survivors locally and beyond who have finished their active treatments* to gather together and participate in educational sessions and emotional support conversations.

This retreat provides a safe place for those who have endured cancer to reset with others who are survivors in all aspects: physically, mentally and spiritually. Ultimately, participants will get to walk away with warrior laughter, love and friendships that will last a lifetime.

*Must be between 1- 5 years past active treatment, surgeries must be completed and or have doctor approval or upon special consideration of the SW Board of Directors. There will be movement activities each day for your participation.

Introduce participants to the mission and vision of Shay’s Warriors and welcome them to a retreat of support and sharing that includes support groups and quality presentations addressing many of the topics confronting life after cancer treatment.

Create an environment that encourages participants to meet and socialize together, establishing supportive connections with each other and with Shay’s Warriors hosts.

Provide meaningful, health-based activities (Examples of such like yoga, meditation, sound baths, relaxation techniques and nutrition) that allow participants to relax and reconnect the body, mind and spirit.

Provide participants with access to a support community post-retreat via the Shay’s Warriors network, website, podcasts and more.

We’d like to thank our community, donors and sponsors for their support in making our 2023 retreat possible:
